Ali Flohe Ali keeps everything running smoothly at BCVC as our head receptionist. When she isn’t keeping everyone in line at the clinic, she and her husband Brent keep busy with cows, horses, dogs, and the occasional pig. Ali is a woman of many talents, as she spent several years as a Veterinary Assistant in other clinics. She is able to help in any capacity that we need, and we are so blessed to work with such a kind and talented individual. Kathryn Hadfield Kathryn got pulled out of “retirement” to be part of our team, and her interior design skills helped to create the beautiful look of BCVC! Besides her great sense of style, she has almost 40 years of experience as a veterinary technician. Kathryn helps us as a technician as well as in reception. When she isn’t working, she is managing her side business of Alpine Bernedoodles or enjoying her horses at a reigning competition. Kathryn and her husband Hans are always ready for an adventure skiing, rafting, or motorcycle riding. There is never a dull moment with Kathryn! Meika Velazquez, CVT Meika is our head Veterinary Technician and has been with us since the beginning of BCVC. She attended Bel-Rea Vet Tech School in Denver, and has been putting her skills to good use ever since! Meika and her husband have 2 sons and a herd of pets, and she partners with Dr. Rachel to breed French Bulldogs as part of San Juan Frenchies. Her special interests lie in emergency medicine and canine reproduction. Stacia Cannon If you need a smile or a hug or just a friendly face, come say hi to Stacia! Stacia has worked in many veterinary clinics over the years, so she came to BCVC with a plethora of experiences that made her an asset to our team. When she joined the BCVC crew, she added yet another skill, as it turns out she is a natural receptionist too! Her diverse interests and complete skill set make Stacia a valuable resource for our clients. In her spare time, Stacia and her boyfriend Harrison manage their orchard in Hotchkiss. You can also find her at roller derbies, square dances, sheep-shearing, or hiking with her beautiful dogs. Daniel Mauk Daniel helps us out at BCVC a couple days a week as a technician assistant, and we appreciate that he is always willing to lend a helping hand! Daniel enjoys driving, biking, and hiking with his dog, Princess Leia. Ariel Jones Ariel joined us as a Veterinary Assistant who is also currently pursuing her Vet Tech Certification. She is the proud owner of a hamster named Cinderella, and in her spare time, both she and her fiancé enjoy hiking and weight-lifting. Ariel especially enjoys small animal internal medicine and shelter work, and is excited to be part of the BCVC team! Kelsey Philips Kelsey helps out part-time at BCVC, and we are lucky to have her, because she is a jack of all trades! She works in reception and also as a veterinary assistant, and her previous animal experience makes Kelsey an invaluable member of our team. When she isn’t at BCVC, she is usually working at the feedlot, working cows with friends, or doing leather work. Jessica Sammons This Corgi-loving gal helps keep things running smoothly at the front desk. She comes to BCVC with years of experience, so Jessica is a wealth of knowledge and always willing to help make everyone’s day a little bit brighter! When she isn’t working, Jess is loving on her Corgis or her chickens, quilting, or spending quality time with her family.
