Endoscopy allows us to visualize the esophagus, stomach and duodenum (upper small intestine) without surgically opening an animal up. With this tool we can remove some foreign bodies without surgery and collect biopsies to diagnose some diseases like inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and stomach cancer.
