Setting Standards
Dr. Blankmeyer is a member of the Society of Theriogenology, and since this is a fast-expanding special interest in our area, we have made this a major focus in our practice. Some of our reproductive services include:
- Breeding client education/counseling
- Genetic selection and screening (OFA testing for hips, elbows, cardiac evaluation, thyroid, etc.)
- Breeding soundness exams (of male or female, including but not limited to reproductive tract ultrasound, semen evaluation, etc.)
- Progesterone testing (same day results)
- Artificial insemination (vaginal or surgical, using fresh, chilled, or frozen semen)
- Pregnancy management
- C-sections (emergency or elective)
- Neonatal and pediatric care
- Hormone-Sparing Surgeries (ovary-sparing surgery and vasectomy)
- Semen Freezing and on-site storage
